Brain Breaks

$4.00

Research has shown that students shouldn’t be sedentary for more than 20-30 minutes without some type of physical movement. This is especially true for children with ADHD or those who are kinesthetic learners.

At least once an hour, or as soon as I notice my students getting restless, I’ll pull out my brain break cards and choose one. Then, the whole class participates in the activity for about 1-3 minutes and gets back to work. I’m always amazed what a difference this makes in their behavior and ability to retain material! Plus, they love it!

This download contains 44 brain breaks in color and in a print-friendly black and white format (plus blank cards so you can customize your own) in Microsoft Powerpoint format.
